Our optometry department is a partnership with the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Optometry providing primary eye care services including comprehensive examinations and eyeglasses for all ages. Staff diagnose, monitor, and treat many eye conditions that can alter vision.

New patients are welcome with most insurance plans accepted. The vision department has various patient assistance programs for eligible individuals without insurance. To schedule an eye appointment call (314) 937-5100.

Our eye doctors treat patients of all ages.  Some of the common conditions we treat include:

• Pink eye
• Lazy eye
• Eye turn
• Diabetic eye care
• Glaucoma
• Macular Degeneration

EYEGLASSES

Additionally, when needed, we offer a selection of eyeglasses onsite.  Once patients purchase a pair of prescription glasses, the process is as follows:

• Glasses typically arrive to our Carondelet location within 1-2 weeks.
• Our front desk operations team will contact the patient when the glasses arrive.
• The patient can then pickup their new glasses at our front desk.
• Patients inquiring about the status of their eyeglasses order can call 314-353-5190 and talk with an operator.

At Family Care Health Centers’ optometry department, we accept the following vision insurance plans:  Health Blue, Home State, Medicaid, and UCH Community Plan.
