Family Care Health Centers Embraces Partnership with The School District of University City to Develop School-Based Health Center at University City High School
ST. LOUIS, MO – Family Care Health Centers is proud to announce its partnership with The School District of University City, Washington University, and the School-Based Health Alliance of Missouri for establishment of a new School-Based Health Center at University City High School. Family Care Health Centers will begin providing behavioral health services and care to students there in spring 2026, and primary care services in fall 2026.
“Family Care Health Centers is honored to expand our services and care to even more youth in St. Louis,” said Dr. Aramide Ayorinde, Chief Executive Officer of Family Care Health Centers. “Providing person-centered and trauma-informed counseling care along with primary medical treatment to children and teens in the school space they regularly attend, allows us to positively impact the mental health and well-being of students in our community.”
“School-based health centers provide access to health care for youth through screening, brief intervention, and treatment with the goal of improving the wellbeing of students now and builds a strong foundation for their health in years to come,” said Celeste Souza, MSW, LCSW, Chief Behavioral Health Officer of Family Care Health Centers. “A school-based health center like this is able to provide medical and behavioral health care in a space students can easily access, ensures students get the help they need, and builds confidence in their ability to ask for what they need and be heard.”
In the fall of 2026 Family Care Health Centers will launch additional primary care services for students at University City High School, bringing easier healthcare access, insight and maintenance to students and their families.
