Family Care Health Centers Awarded Grant from Episcopal Presbyterian Health Trust for its Community Outreach and Enrollment Work
ST. LOUIS, MO – Family Care Health Centers (FCHC) is honored to have received a $20,000 grant from the Episcopal Presbyterian Health Trust, for its Community Outreach and Enrollment work.
“We are excited about this grant opportunity because it advances the missions of both Family Care Health Centers and the Episcopal Presbyterian Health Trust by removing barriers to care and promoting health equity,” said Alina Ainyette, FCHC Community Health Director.
FCHC’s Community Health Team will use these funds for its Outreach and Enrollment Specialist role, a key position that introduces and helps people navigate public insurance programs, while connecting them to primary and preventive care and other essential health resources.
“An Outreach and Enrollment Specialist is critical to helping clients navigate and enroll in health insurance, ensuring families can access the comprehensive care they need to thrive,” said Ainyette.
The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist will also complete outreach work within high-need communities by building relationships with St. Louis schools, churches, housing shelters and community groups, raising awareness about FCHC’s locations, services and care.
FCHC is committed to sustaining this vital role, as it will help lead to earlier medical interventions, improved health outcomes and a healthier community.
